Kveik is a Norwegian word meaning yeast. In the tradition of Norwegian farms, kveik was preserved by drying and passed down from generation to generation. Kveik is the original traditional dry yeast! The LalBrew® Voss strain was obtained from Sigmund Gjernes (Voss, Norway), who has maintained this crop using traditional methods since the 1980s and generously shared it with the wider brewing community. LalBrew® Voss supports a wide range of fermentation temperatures between 25-40°C with a very high optimal range of 35-40°C. Fermentation takes place very quickly in the optimal temperature range, with complete attenuation usually achieved in 2 to 3 days. The aromatic profile is constant throughout the temperature range: neutral with subtle fruity notes of orange and citrus. Flocculation is very high and makes it possible to produce clear beers without the need for filtration or additives.

![]() | Question: Bonjour. Est ce qu'un sachet de 11g de Lallemand Voss Kveik Ale Yeast sera suffisant pour un brassin de 23L du pack Morgans premium royal oak amber ale ? J’aimerais remplacer les levures d’origine par des qui supportent un peu mieux les hautes températures. Mais vu que le sachet d’origine fait 15grammes et que le Lallemand n’en fait que 11g, je me posais la questions. Merci d’avance Alexandre |
